The effect of places of power

Today I'm writing a different kind of article. I've been on Instagram a lot lately because I just love seeing others who share the same passion: A love for the beauty of the world, exciting landscapes, fresh air and, above all, self-determination and freedom. I'm now keen to not only share my thoughts, but also tell you a bit more about all my trips. As you may have noticed, I've been traveling quite a bit this year. I've been so gripped again that I know that this is just the beginning and there's no going back now. I'm in the mood for much, much more!
Why do I love being outside so much, you may be asking yourself. Maybe you're a frostbite like me and don't really like cold, wet weather. So why give up your cozy home and head outside where you're just so freely exposed to the weather? Firstly because you can relinquish control and secondly because you will never get closer to yourself than in the great outdoors. At least that's my opinion. So much has changed for me since I integrated it so strongly into my life again and my inner world is definitely no longer the same. I feel happier, freer, more self-determined, braver and also more passionate. I am consciously pursuing my dreams again and that includes maintaining this blog here. Simply because I love it.
When you are outside, you will immerse yourself in silence. You will hear your heartbeat again, be aware of your breathing and also if something pinches or itches on your body. There's nothing in nature that will permanently distract you from yourself. One exception: I'm always so captivated by looking at the mountains that I don't notice anything else at that moment. Nature grounds, calms and connects you at the same time. It connects you with yourself and with the world around you. It reminds you of the unity you form with everything and that you are complete and good just as you are. I know of no activity that brings me back to myself as much as going out into nature. That's why I want to sit there for hours and enjoy the view.
Cities, on the other hand, are exciting, inspiring and simply loud. A lot happens there, they keep you moving and you swim with society. Do you know the feeling that there is something wrong with you if you "walk" slower than everyone else around you? There is culture, friends, family, great food, dancing and lots of nice things to buy in cities. But often this also distracts us from what is really important and our attention switches from one thing to the next every minute. Do you need all these things? Honestly! I like cities and that's why I love traveling all over the world. They inspire me, give me energy and I love writing in cafés and letting my thoughts flow. But after a while it quickly becomes too much for me and I pull myself out again. I think it's all a matter of balance.
What has helped me on my journey so far is going to different places and seeing how I feel there. There are places where I immediately feel at home and at home, other places where I feel free and inspired and other places where I feel heavy and strange. We are looking for the places that give you what you need right now. This can change again and again over time, just as your mood changes and you evolve. Right now, I'm looking for nature and absolute silence without outside influences. At other times, I was more drawn to cafés, i.e. in the midst of people, but still for myself. Observe where you feel particularly comfortable and why that is. This will teach you even more about yourself and what you need. Then you can create a set of power places that you can go to again and again when they call to you. This year I discovered a new place of power in Austria that I keep going back to. The great thing is that it's always there and I just have to go there to feel refreshed and happy again. Life can be so simple when you know what you have to do!
I send you my best wishes and look forward to hearing from you!
Where do you feel special? What places do you think of when I talk about places of power? Where are you always drawn to? Where do you feel free? Where do you feel inspired? Where do you feel happy? What do you need right now? What is your absolute favorite place and why? What would the power place of your dreams look like?
