Two paths - which one do you choose?

I don't know if you've ever heard that there are two paths a person can take in life. I am firmly convinced, and have been since I was a child, that people have been given a task here on earth. Through what they do, they make a positive contribution to the world. They have a function, just like every plant that produces oxygen and every element on our planet that is part of a natural cycle. Everything in the world is harmoniously designed, fulfills a specific purpose and strives for a constant balance. Why should different laws apply to humans than to other living beings? Why else are all people so different and why is there individuality? And why do we all have different talents and combinations of talents? Just like in nature. Here is an example:
A turtle with its thick shell and immobility is very slow and almost defenceless on land. In the water, however, it is an ingenious swimmer that can cover long distances in the ocean. And she has a built-in compass that always leads her back to the beach when it's time to lay eggs. And the little ones that hatch know exactly where they have to go and where they belong: they crawl purposefully towards the sea and take the risk of losing their lives along the way. But their sense of belonging and their destination is so clear that they accept the journey at all costs. And even in the water, their journey is not over. It is only the beginning. But everything is so deeply embedded in them that they have no doubt about what they have to do, where they are swimming to and how they will survive, even if no one has ever shown them.
We humans also have a built-in compass that guides us towards the sea. Unfortunately, most people have forgotten that it exists, let alone that they can read it properly. And even if I write this here, there will be people who find it funny because they have lost touch with it in today's world. And at the same time, there are more and more people who, on their path to spirituality, are trying to remember themselves again and reactivate this inner voice. Because we all have it, we are just different in our ability to suppress or ignore it. And with all the distractions, parenting methods and behaviors we have established, it is not easy to perceive them. We have learned to make our heads our decision-makers.
This voice shows you your path in life. It shows you your next steps in life and the direction you should take. Life should be so simple, shouldn't it? You would think so. But the voice also tells us about steps that initially seem too dangerous, pointless or simply unjustified. Should I move away from here? Should I separate from my partner? Should I quit my secure job? Should I end this friendship? I should travel alone to a foreign country? I should go jogging? The downs come immediately. What is happening right now? Our minds switch on and we try to find rational answers. And if we can't calculate the risk, the price seems too high or it's somehow uncomfortable for us, then we'd rather not do it. It's safer and more convenient.
Yet the universe, or whatever you may call it, has a much better picture of everything. It already knows that these steps will lead you exactly where you are meant to go, to live the life you want. And if you can just quietly agree with that, then you have your confirmation that you know that too.
And now we come to the two possible paths you can take: The majority of people choose path 1, because not making a decision is also a decision. A decision not to take responsibility and to continue living life as before. We ignore the inner voice that was still very loud as a child. And then the following often happens: life sends you certain challenges, such as an illness, you are kicked out of your home, lose your job or your partnership. It wants to set you on your path and raise your awareness. Who hasn't experienced that something has to happen before we finally do something that is long overdue? Ultimately, you are also moving in your own direction, but slowly, less self-determined and in constant resistance and fear of change. It's better to keep things the way they are. It's about taking responsibility, living healthier and creating clarity in your life.
And then there is path 2: fewer people choose this path. Especially those who cannot ignore their inner voice, who have this inner drive and want more from life. They believe that dreams can come true and that there are reasons for their innate talents. They believe that, like the tortoise, they too have their own element in which they will blossom. They get support from coaches, seminars and books and consciously follow this voice. The path to your “goal” is shorter as a result, but that doesn't make it any easier. You choose the rocky shortcut through the forest over the mountain instead of walking leisurely uphill on the access road. Because great growth also brings its own challenges. I always call them growing pains, which occur when a new chapter is about to begin and chaos reigns. Your shoes have become too small and you now need new ones. You've outgrown them. The difference is simply that this way you will get to where you want to go faster, grow faster and live the life you dream of. You will experience and see more and develop into the person you want to be. And a bonus is that you can inspire others to believe in themselves too. These are often the people who later become coaches or build their own business and want to help others through their own experiences. They go their own way and take responsibility.
I don't want to tell you which path is right for you. It's just good to know that both paths exist and that you have a free choice. If you feel this inner hunger within you for growth, then you are probably already on path 2 or about to reach the crossroads where you will decide. Whether you know it or not, I think the most important thing is to listen to your inner voice again and take it seriously. Because it always tells you what's going on. If you follow it, you will automatically move in the direction that is more in line with your talents and desires.
I wish you all the best for your journey and hope that I can support you as much as possible with my posts here on my blog! Best regards, Kathi
Do you perceive an inner voice? Do you live according to your intuition in everyday life? Or do you hear the voice but then make decisions based on your head? What do you wish for deep inside, perhaps even since you were a child? Do you live according to your wishes? Where do you sabotage yourself? Are you on path 1 or 2? Do you break off after every hurdle or do you take it? Do you want to switch to the other path?
