Two weeks of vacation and at the end new opportunities – How to easily attract what suits you.

I'm just returning from a two-week break in my home country and the Austrian mountains – simply wow again. Two weeks ago, I was still sitting in the office working at my desk. I somehow had the feeling that I was getting a little too bogged down in the details. My work on the website ended up being a lot of tinkering with technical details. I think many people know that feeling of working hard for hours and then somehow getting bogged down and feeling like you're not getting anywhere.

So I sat at home and for several days had the feeling that I wasn't really making any progress, but rather spending hours optimizing and perfecting certain things. But I wasn't making any real progress, and my dwindling energy and neck pain spoke for themselves. I was getting more and more tired every day and was tense. And the worst part was that I started neglecting my diet and exercise.

After observing this for a few days, I said to myself, “That's enough, you're not really getting anywhere. You just need to get out again! It's that simple!” It wasn't that long ago that I was away, but it was clear that the time had come for a change of scenery. Even though I find it difficult to tear myself away, I know it's the right thing to do.

I decided to pack my car and be prepared for any eventuality. After a week at home, I actually did nothing for the first time in a long time. You may not believe it, but even when I'm not actively doing anything, my mind is always very busy. My passion for what I do rarely leaves me— and it's during the most relaxed moments that I have my best ideas. Who hasn't experienced this? For the first time, I did less, relaxed, and simply enjoyed the moments. This allowed me to gain some distance from everything and break out of the technical optimization craze.

I then drove further to Austria and visited a friend and her family. She was very grateful to simply pick Kriacherl (a type of plum) in the garden and have long conversations. I also enjoyed just lying in the hammock and reading. And yes, I didn't just read anything, I read a book about business. My friend then said, “You're working again!” – and she was kind of right. It doesn't feel like work to me, but yes, it is actually work. But it's fun ;-).

I then drove on, spent a night in nature, and woke up again with a view of the mountains. I really noticed how my nervous system relaxed and I was truly in the moment.

While driving, I had a very clear impulse: I thought of a friend and felt like calling him to ask how things were going. Sometimes life sends me such clear signals—do you know what I mean? He was very happy and we decided that I would visit him spontaneously.

The time with him and his family flew by. And as luck would have it, we ended up meeting up with others for coffee at short notice. I was just so happy to see everyone again and talk about the topics that matter to us.

And to my surprise, it wasn't just a friendly work outing, but ultimately, completely unexpectedly, it led to a cooperation. I was speechless, and at the same time, it made so much sense.

And why am I telling you this now?

I am telling you all this because you can learn so much about life and, above all, the flow of life from my story. My experience has shown me once again how important it is to break free from situations that are tense and slowly becoming unnatural, such as me sitting stressed at my desk. And how important it is to keep moving and to give your body and mind regular relaxation.

What many people unfortunately fail to realize is that life constantly sends us signals and a kind of inner voice speaks to us, telling us clearly what to do, what is right and what is wrong. I believe that most people today are so caught up in their heads and in what should be done, so to speak, that this voice is hardly heard anymore.

But if we think back to the times of the Maya and indigenous peoples in general, our ancestors, or even the Maori of New Zealand, whom I visited, the connection to the world, to the universe, and also to our inner selves has always played a very important role. Our earlier cultures lived with this and it was a matter of course. All of this has somehow been forgotten to a certain extent and today it is classified as irrational hocus-pocus when people talk about it. But is that really true?

That means I'm not talking about some spiritual boohoo that's completely made up out of thin air, but rather about what is inherent within us – and using that to our advantage. This way, life can be much easier and much clearer. And the last few days have simply shown me that we often don't have to make things unnecessarily difficult for ourselves, but that things fall into place when they're meant to.

This inner voice can also be described as our intuition.

This reminded me so much of how important it is to do what feels right at the moment and not just what seems rationally correct. Ultimately, I am now on my way back, feeling richly blessed, excited about the new opportunities and the joint work – not only because it confirms that what I do is needed, but also because it shows me that it can happen in a completely different and natural, easy way.

It is possible to work with people who have similar intentions and share a similar mindset. It is possible to enjoy the process and the work – and above all: it can be easy. We can free ourselves more and more from the belief that everything always has to be done with pressure and coercion and that only if we work as hard as possible – whatever that means for you – will we be successful.n.

I have always made the biggest leaps in my life when I have been relatively relaxed and unassuming about my life, but then responded to what life has shown me. That means I have gratefully seized opportunities and not tried to plan or control everything.

This definitely requires a great deal of trust and flexibility.

With this article, I want to remind you that you too have these abilities—and that you are allowed to use them.

It is natural to live this way, and it is rather unnatural not to live this way!

I am glad that you have read this and that you are here and are open to living life your way – the way that is right for you. Not the way others think is right for you.

How do you feel about your life? Especially your working life? Do you feel that you can work in tune with yourself, i.e., live at the pace you need? Do you feel that there is enough space to receive new things? Do you feel that your mind is free enough to receive new impulses? If you feel that this is not the case and you would like more space to live more according to your individual rhythm, then consider the following:

How can I create a little more flexibility in my life or work life? How can I open up the space a little more to gather inspiration? Can I perhaps also use opportunities in my free time to think in a new direction, to get new thoughts and ideas? What would help me most right now to find out how I can live more according to my own rhythm and needs? What would help me most to find even more balance?
