A little bit of Chiemsee magic

ree

Whenever I'm at Lake Chiemsee, somehow cool things happen and it feels like it runs itself. After this somewhat crazy day, I lie in bed with a smile on my face and enjoy reminiscing about today. It was just too wonderful. I'd like to tell you about it, but before I do, I want you to know that I wasn't entirely idle and I'm sure I had an influence on what happened today. I prepared it, so to speak. But we'll come to that at the end.

I now have a conference lasting several days behind me. Very exciting, inspiring and, above all, mentally engaging. My head is full, my heart open and my mind alert. I'm taking a lot away from the last few days and all the new inspirations seem to want to be seen at the same time. I now know how important it is to take a break every now and then. An acquaintance reminded me of this this year by saying: “Every athlete knows that muscles grow during breaks.” Yes, he's right. As I used to play competitive sport, this is a very obvious image for me. I just wanted to do nothing today and go somewhere that would help me process everything and calm me down again. A place that would allow my mental muscles to grow, so to speak. It was to be Lake Chiemsee - a place close to my heart.

Great things always happen to me at Lake Chiemsee. Today is no exception. It's Sunday and it's usually full of people and cars from midday and it's very difficult to find a parking space. But not for me. Normally I don't have the parking space gene and it feels like I'm searching for hours. But it's always different at Chiemsee. I arrive in the early afternoon and immediately get a premium parking space in the first row by the lake. Before I'm even in the space, someone sticks a parking ticket on my windshield wiper with a smile on their face and the words: “Parking ticket for you”. Thanks, that's settled too (especially as I wouldn't have had any change for the machine anyway).

At some point on my tour with my stand-up paddle board, I decided to paddle back, as I was a bit hungry and only crispbread would have awaited me at home. I opted for a restaurant near the parking lot. Normally I always put my board back in the car first, but my instinct told me to ask for a free table in the restaurant first. So I left everything and went to the restaurant in full gear with flip-flops and co. When I got there, I was told that the kitchen would be closing in a minute, i.e. now, and that I had to order immediately. So I was able to place my order at the last minute and put my SUP away in peace. Phew, lucky me! Thanks for the tip, Leben.

Back in the restaurant, I was approached by a female waitress who said I had such a great smile, a great personality and much more. I was showered with compliments. I thanked her and then went to my table. Later, I was approached again and a conversation about traveling developed. At some point, the waitress, the restaurant owner and I stood together and I was bombarded with travel tips for my next destination. And not only that. I then went to my car to drive. At some point, I heard my name from a distance. It was the waitress who insisted I come back again. She then introduced me to her partner from Pakistan, whose relatives play for the national cricket team of the country I was traveling to. She said I should definitely come back so that he could tell me a lot more. Oh yes, and I would be allowed to leave my board in the restaurant or camp at any time in future, which was an absolute exception. This was emphasized particularly often. Then she asked me excitedly: “Can I make you a latte macchiato for the ride home?”. I could tell how important the gift was to her. It was perfect for me, as I urgently needed a pick-me-up for the car journey anyway.

As if the universe had always been one step ahead of me today with everything I needed and wanted: Premium parking, parking ticket, food, travel tips, coffee for the return trip, etc..

Ok, long story. You're probably thinking to yourself now that there's something wrong with the woman and the whole story is somehow quite weird and exaggerated. I can understand that and I would probably think the same if I hadn't experienced it myself. From my point of view, the woman was completely normal and the situation was friendly, open and there was a genuine interest in me as a person. I have to say, I didn't actually do anything special. I was friendly, but not in any unusual mood. But I honestly did ONE particular thing a little differently than usual that day:

On the outward journey, on the water and also on the island where I took a break, I consciously breathed into my heart again and again and connected with it. That was the only difference. You might be asking yourself: And what's the point? It does a lot! Because by breathing into your heart, you create what is known as heart coherence. If you do this often, your heart energy will increase. This energy is open, friendly, giving, loving, warm and so much more. Everyone (hopefully) knows what heart energy feels like. You can feel it at any time by consciously connecting with your heart. This woman simply reacted to this special energy. The energy probably touched her in such a way that she stepped into an energy of giving herself. Because to be honest, I found her rather dismissive and anything but open when I first met her. Her manner changed within minutes of our meeting. I didn't actively do anything and I wasn't aware of it at the time, except that I was a little surprised by her sudden change of heart. Everything that happened felt like it came out of nowhere and completely out of the blue: in other words, I didn't ask for any tips, I didn't tell her about my travel plans and I didn't ask for anything. I wasn't even particularly in the mood to have a conversation.

I am still fascinated by this day and its events. I can't remember the last time I was “carried” like that. And the great thing is that all it took was a few minutes of heart energy.

I had a wonderful day on the water today, which made me feel more relaxed and clearer. I followed my impulse to go to my heart's place despite a 2.5-hour journey and a rather late start. And I was rewarded. I learned so much about life again today. And also how much influence we ourselves have on it and how easy it is to change something. I realized again how important it is to take breaks to calm down. Pauses create clarity and clarity creates a clear direction. And this allows us to make bigger leaps in life, as we save ourselves unnecessary detours. I have just filled a few pages of my notebook with new ideas and insights from the lake. And I have been able to experience how quickly and powerfully heart energy has an effect: we are simply given gifts by life without having to actively do anything at that moment. And other people gratefully step into this energy and change their own within minutes. It was an absolute win-win situation for everyone today.

I would like to encourage you to simply try it out for yourself and see what it does to you and your surroundings. Simply place one hand on your heart and breathe into your heart for a few minutes. Feel the energy and let it grow. That's it. Just do the exercise every day for a week and: Let the (Chiemsee) magic unfold! And have fun with the joyful surprises!

When was the last time you consciously connected with your heart? Do you find it easy to make contact? How does it feel when you are connected? Do you know those moments when you attract positive situations out of sheer heart energy? How would your life change if you connected with your heart more often?
